My HF Rig:

First and foremost, when I finally earned my tech license, I knew I did not have the space for a large antenna array. Maybe a 10 meter dipole.  I investigated "ground-based antennas", and more overly 'whip antennas'

It seems whip antennas get a very bad rap. Once you know the formula,
they work quite well. I have FT8 contacts all over the globe, even Australia, New Zealand, and Japan (from USA NY), phone\SSB with Moscow. All with a whip antenna and a Yaesu FT-710(transmitting 95 watts).
